interVOLT SPCi Series

interVOLT SPCi Series power conditioners are available for either 12 Volt DC or 24 Volt DC electrical systems and provide DC-DC isolation between the supply and the load connected to it.

Whilst 12V DC electrical systems are most commonly used in mainstream automotive and marine applications, there is a tendency for manufacturers to use 24V DC electrical systems in large vehicles such as prime movers, trucks, lorries, coaches and buses. Primarily, this is to reduce the effect of voltage drop which can be a major issue in standard 12VDC applications where there are substantial loads or long cable runs. The same applies to remote energy installations which is why they generally design DC systems operating on a minimum of 24 Volts. In any of these applications it is likely that some equipment, particularly sensitive electronics, connected to the supply will experience compatibility issues.

Using interVOLT power conditioners provide a twofold benefit - power stabilization and galvanic isolation. The power regulation ensures the equipment being operated receives a constant, unrestricted supply and the isolation esures that this supply is interference free and protected against backfeed EMF in addition to reducing voltage spikes, surges and transients.
